I have a 15" Macbook Pro Unibody and realized today I am still using the default color lcd profile... whats the best one around these days?

Thanks,

Also keep in the mind only best is the one generated specifically for your display. There is a variation from unit to unit. You will likely be able to find one better than stock, but I've calibrated one 9c84 and two 9c85 and there are different profiles generated for each unit. Once calibrated they look similar but if I used one 9c85 on the other 9c85 you can see that it doesn't give the same results.

How do I check if mine is 9c84 or 9c85.... whats 9CAD?

Open System Preferences, click on Displays, click on Color. Then select the Color LCD profile and click Open Profile. Scroll to line 13. Click on line 13 and in the list below look at the entry for Model. For a unibody 15" I would expect 9c84 or 9c85. Not sure about the other code. Maybe it's a 17" or an earlier model.
