I am not all that impressed with the DVD playback capability of the DVD.app bundled with OS X.

Does anyone have an application they can recommend with superior rendering?

Thanks!

hhmmm interesting. what did you not like about the built in DVD player? seems to do all my functions that I need fine. Just curious

the os x dvd player is a step down from the Windows DVD software I have (which had to be purchased)...WinDVD

Side-by-side on a Philips Flatscreen HDTV, the OS X dvd player looks worse despite a much higher quality DVI output (compared to a vga out on the Windows PC)

Note: both are laptops, both have comparable video cards...

Yea I bought WinDVD for my PC as well. I hope Billg gets punched in the sack for not including a dvd player with windows. All of the proprietary ones installed on the dvd's like interactual player are such garbage.
