What's the best Evernote Alternative??

I've really been having a hard time with Evernote lately...I hate the layout. I'm in desperate need though of an easy note taking app (like notesy/simplnote) that will 1) sync both locally on my phone as well as to the cloud..and 2) allow me to sync images in addition to text. The faster/more simple the better. Any ideas? I'm stil using the note app on my iphone for text only and just realized it decided to completely stop saving recent updates to an important note I've been constantly updating and have no idea why. Now's the time for a replacement!

Try Notesy for Dropbox. Syncs very well with nvAlt which is the premier note taking app for the Mac.
