What's the best resolution for pics in Keynote or Powerpoint?
I use both for my work as a lecturer ( and thus use a projector). We can only upload 2mb files onto our College server; many of my ppt lectures are 10 times that - so I need to use the correct res to reduce the size(s) of these slides. Thanks

2MB is really a joke.

why not use an USB-stick or webmail/free online storage?
other than that, try to match you beamers resolution, don't use anything below 800x600. higher compressed images might help, too.

you could also enable web-sharing on your mac to get your file ... .
 
Put the files on your own web server, and upload instructions to get to them to the schools server. Then email the network people and tell them their system is a joke.
