Im looking to get some tools to open up my iphone 1g and install a battery. Already got the battery and got the tools that came with it and it litterally couldnt handle the plastic black cover so I figure next time around im going to make sure I get a better set. The cheaper the better but still want it to work.

I saw a lot of kits on ebay as well saw ifixit had a cool tool and guide and used a spudger where as all the kits on ebay dont have spudgers.

Any ideas for those that have done this?

The spudger is a great tool. If you don't want to wait for it to come in the mail, I have used a putty knife to pry the antenna cover open before. From there it is just a matter of using a screwdriver. No more tools required.
