Now that i am upgrading to rMBP, planning to sell my 2009 MBP 13" to cover rMBP expenses. just wondering what's the best way to sell and get best price. I am not even sure how to price.

Here is the my 2009 MBP 13" spec:

Original config: 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB/250 GB

recently (May'2012) upgraded memory and storage with following config -
Memory - 8GB (crucial)
Storage - Seagate Momentus XT (with 4GB SSD cache) (Model: STAN500100)

Will update to Mountain Lion OS.

MBP is in very excellent state, no scratches. Planning to include original 4GB DIMMs, 250GB HDD, & incase sleeve as free goodies.

Appreciate any feedback.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what you may be able to charge. Then adjust your price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

eBay and Craigslist are two popular venues for selling a Mac.

If you can, sell locally. I'm currently selling my 2008 MacBook on Kijiji locally. I've bought/sold so many things on that site, from iPads, cameras, mice, etc. It's good because you just meet somewhere in the city and actually look at the product etc.
