Ok, so I have Audacity but I'm having trouble understanding how to cut a large (like an hour or so) audio file into tracks like on a cd. I tried doing this with slicing but when I exported it as a .wav it's still one large audio track. I need simple step by step instructions. Thanks!!

What you need to do is copy each piece you want into different files. Then you will each track as a seperate track. Then use iTunes to burn it on to a CD as individual tracks.

Ok, and then export it as .wav or .mp3?

Also, my audio track is of a concert and I'm trying to make the clapping lower which I'm using envolope which is fine. But how do I know what the right volume is. Because if my volume on my comp is different and the one on the track is different, I can't keep track of what a comfortable volume is, any suggestions?

Thank you soo much for your help, it means so much!!!!
