whats the best way to encrypt files?

Hi ya,

I want to store some important files on .mac but i want to encrypt the heck out of them. whats a good way? any good programs?

Will you only be accessing them on macs?

If so i would create an encrypted disk image and put the files in there and then upload the disk image.

I was encrypting them in a zip file. what are the differences in zip and dmg's? is one more secure then the other? is more more likely to get corrupted?
