The monitor I have has three inputs.

1. VGA
2. DVI
3. HDMI

Which one will give me the best quality?

Thanks:cool:

DVI and HDMI use the same digital video signal. The difference is that HDMI can also carry audio and control data. Use whichever of those is more convenient for you. If your MBP has HDMI out, that is the easiest as you just need an HDMI cable. If not, you will either need a MiniDP to DVI or MiniDP to HDMI adapter. If you go the HDMI route, it has the added bonus of not needing anything extra to hook up to HDTVs.

Ok thank you very much for the in depth breakdown.

One issue with HDMI is it is limited to 1080 vertical resolution on a computer monitor on Macs, so if OP has a monitor with greater than 1080 vertical res., he will want to go with DVI.
