I just installed a new 70GB Raptor drive as my primary drive (one fast drive!). Anyway I'm using the other 160GB Maxtor to store infrequently used applications/pictures/music etc.

What I'm doing now is installing them on the 160GB drive and then creating an alias and putting it in my applications folder on my 70GB drive. Is this the best way to do this?

For iPhoto and iTunes will I have to do the same thing or will it automatically locate the pics and music if I store them on the 160GB drive?

Thanks.

you have to point them in the right direction (preferences) and some apps require that it's installed on the boot volume or something with OS X installed on it...etc.etc.
