Is there any way of viewing MacRumors in an application that notifies me if new posts are placed, or new threads created?

Safari RSS behaviour for MacRumors?
A

Any problems with bookmarking and assigning a key to:

forums.macrumors.com/search/?do=getnew

I don't know if it's the best way, but I do an advanced search for posts with username: myusername.

Great tip Mitthrawnuruodo. :)

It might be easier to search manually for your username from the Advanced Search page though and then then save your preferences because that way you can set it to view the results by threads, not posts. In other words, you'll see all the threads you are active in, not all the posts you have made.

Potentially even more useful... :)

Also possible to make into a bookmark: https://forums.macrumors.com/search/?do=process&showposts=0&query=[insert username], to find threads where I've posted: https://forums.macrumors.com/search/?do=process&showposts=0&query=Mitthrawnuruodo

Or just bookmark your UserCP which keeps track of subscribed threads for you ;)
