I would like the color of my iPhone 13 mini to be seen the way it is on the phone itself, the problem is that most clear cases alter the color in some way.

Has anyone found a solution to that?

Has anyone found the clearest clear case?

The Apple ones look clear to me and seem to hold up okay. In my experience, clear cases will always yellow/degrade given enough time.

The yellowing isn’t even my issue yet, rather, even when new, these cases alter the color of the iPhone (because they break the light in that way).

The Apple one seems to be the one best transmitting the original iPhone color and would be my choice, but I absolutely don’t like the white ring at the back. It doesn’t fit most colors at all. I wish they had one without that.

So basically, I’m looking for an equivalent of the Apple case in terms of quality and material, but without the charging dock.

Same search as OP for our green iPhone13mini and our red one. Got this one for the green and this one for the red. I do like the green case and my wife wanted clear but with a design so got the linked red one.

Biggest issue is keeping the clear cases clean on the inside. Usually requires removing the case and washing it with soap and water every month or so. While naked, simply wiping down the iPhone itself is sufficient and easier with a slightly dampened microfiber cloth.

I do have a clear case but not a fan as it’s soooo shiny, still not seeing it close to what it looks like naked. And that is a big ”problem” with clear cases, all tend to be reflective so the coloring comes into play to make the case less of a mirror.

One case I have has matte colored sides but back is opaque. I like this one (aside from the sides being a different shade of green) but a smidge bulkier than the one I currently have on that has shiny sides but back is clear and not particularly shiny.

I rotate cases every couple of months since bought five and none of them are winners, hoping to fall for one of them.

Years ago for one of my black phone, I did hit the perfect sweet spot, a smoke colored clear case that showed the phone well, not shiny, and hid yellowing real well.

Having the green phone, and it’s “old”, really limits options today for me. Might have had more choices around initial release.

How clear is the first one? Is it a hard or soft material? It seems to me like the Apple clear case is harder (I never hold it though, so I don’t know for sure), and for some reason my intuition says that the harder material may be more clear and therefore also let the color through closer so what it is originally.

The green one is great on a green phone. There’s many of these, from JeTech for example. I think the green one is easy to make look good. It also worked well on my red phone! (Yeah color combos like that with the green border but dark red background are nice imo). I do like the opaque but in the case of the red it makes the red color turn pink.

maybe try this one? https://www.spigen.com/collections/...3-series-case-air-skin?variant=41834447994927

I agree the Apple clear case would be preferable if it didn’t have the circle… however, it’s by far the best and only one that I know of that is good quality and what you’re looking for… (I just got a 2nd one after the 1st was still fine but bugging me that one of the lip edges got a bit loose/damaged) … especially in mid-2024, searching for such an obscure soon to be obsolete item for a small phone… I do wish you luck in finding what you want, but I suspect you’ll need to be less picky.

I use an ESR project zero transparent case on my iPhone and like all aspects of it, apart from it starting to go yellow after about 9 months of use. But then it is about 12€, so no complaints. It fits iPhone tightly, has reinforced corners, a screen lip and still looks very elegant and minimalistic. So as others have suggested, check out ESR or Spiegen ranges.

In my experience, all clear cases need to be replaced at some point, just like toothbrushes. 😉

I would stay away from Apple’s MagSafe clear case for several reasons:
A) it leaves the bottom part of your iPhone exposed;
B) it is quite difficult to remove, so cleaning the dust will be problematic. And it will collect quite a bit of dust, considering the point A) above;
C) it is too expensive for what it offers. Not in MacPro wheels category, but still.

Having just started case 2 of this —-^ Apple Magsafe in less than 2 years, I must reluctantly agree with all these ABC points. At least I got it via ebay to save some $$ but still, it’s… not the best.
