I read that as 10.8 it's there just not enabled by default, but if you enable it, it deosn't work very well for a lot of people.
Well is there an update on this? Is it realiable already and what's the situation in 10.9?

Native read has been there for quite a while.

Unlikely to ever have native NTFS write. NTFS is a pain in the a**.. when I was working word was that only a few people at IBM really understood NTFS..

ok i found the steps to enable it in 10.8 but guess what, it doesn't really work. Especially with file containers mounted as partitions.

And seems that it's not enabled in 10.9 either....wtf?

so paragon came for the win....

I seem to remember there was also a licensing issue since NTFS is an IBM protocol..

Apple is not going to put native mode write for NTFS into OSx; they leave it to Paragon and the others.

*NEWS FLASH*

They have it since 10.8, it's just not enabled by default
the problem is it does NOT work well.
