What’s the current status with screen protectors?

two years since my X and for most of that I’ve had a screen protector on. I had one that wasnt 3D so it had a bit of an edge on it (most noticeable when swiping to go home), and the glass covered the notch - which I preferred as the cutout versions were more noticeable

Having a quick look around for XR protectors (getting an 11 next week) - and most seem to have the notch cutout

Did 3D protectors not really gain traction and is there a reason so many have the notch cutout? I’ve never had issues with faceID with a full glass cover

Given the phone is new, it may be a few weeks till manufacturers start selling the old Xr protectors labeled as 11.

There's zero change in the market though. There are still plenty of full glass protectors for the newest models, both 3D and non.
