What's the deal with AT&T non-preorders Tuesday?

What time should we line up/what time will AT&T begin selling them? At their normal opening time or earlier? And how many phones do you think they will have? I, unfortunately, missed the first round of iPhones.

Our store said they would be open at 7 am local time. They wouldn't say how many phones would be available.
