Whats the deal with the heralded M500 SSD 1TB under 600$ from awhile back?

Anyone know when it will be possible to buy one again?

Are they any good? I dont see much talk about them considering the huge push towards affordable mass SSD storage which is what everyone has been waiting for for years.

Anyone have experience with them?

How fast did they sell out? Are there gonna be other competitors soon?

I really want one and might consider foregoing the opti-bay process in my new MBP because I can fit all my music plugins on it now.

There are some available on Amazon, but they have a premium price. OWC says they're on backorder and should ship in 43 days, they're not charging a premium but you will have to wait.
