Whats the difference between 2012 15" Retina and 2013 15"?

Im looking at the Macbook Pro refurbished store and I see that the 2012 15" 2.3 GHz 8GB ram is 1599 while the 2013 15" 2.4 GHz 8GB is $1850. I understand that newer models are more expensive but why is there a big difference between the 2 if there basically the same specs? And which one should I buy? I just dont want the 2012 15" to have horrible battery life either

Get the 2012, there is no real difference.

While newer is usually better, the 2013 is definitely not worth $270 more.

You'll only notice a difference between the equivalent models when running benchmarks.

Get the 2012 and use the difference of $ 270 to help offset the cost of extended Applecare

I have no idea. The only reason I can think of is Apple trying to get more money off of stupid people.
