What's the difference between "all contacts" and "all icloud"?

"All Contacts" means what it says ALL YOUR CONTACTS including whoever is in your iCloud.

Nothing... if you only have one source of contacts (iCloud).

However you could have multiple sources -- an iCloud account, a corporate Exchange account, etc. In this case, "all contacts" is literally all contacts from all sources, and "all iCloud" is just your iCloud contacts. (There would also be "All Exchange", for just Exchange contacts.)

I have never distinguished. How do I ensure that all my contacts are indeed in iCloud as well?
