What's the difference between Digital Stabilization & Optical Stabilization?

6 has digital and 6+ has Optical, is there a noticeable difference?

One uses the processor, the other uses the camera to physically stabilize the camera when the phone is moving. Keeping the camera from moving is superior then having the processor.
