Just get the less expensive one as the MacBook already has a sudden motion sensor built in.

And if you dropping a unibody, the HD parking itself is going to be least of your problems ;)
 
From some of the other threads I have read around here, the inbuild free fall sensor will clash with the mac one and maybe cause some problems.

So go for the cheaper =D
 
no, i had a 320gb/7200 wd in a mbp 2.4ghz with free fall sensor and osX with motion sensor enabled without any problems ..

but to dissable motion sensor is very easy.
