The university one is $20 cheaper. Also are there any other good alternatives that would work good? I'm looking at all my options before I decide on one before I start college.

LibreOffice! It's completely free and is compatible with MAC/Windows/Linux. AND it includes a document app, spreadsheet app, presentation app, drawing app, a database app, and one for creating formulae.

Home and Student lacks Outlook which University appears to have. I second OpenOffice, Libreoffice or NeoOffice.
