Why even mention the $18 fee? That should be determined if you actually have an employee activate for you. If your phone is delivered to your house, then why do you pay for activation. Keep squeezing my pockets!

Everybody charges fees for everything now. Try taking a flight somewhere. $18 may sound like nickel-and-diming, but it'll add up to a fair sum for AT&T.Y I'm not defending AT&T, just saying it's kinda the norm these days, and I'm surprised so many people are worrying about $18 when they are spending $200 on a phone and over a grand in data+voice commitments over the next two years.

I totally understand where your coming from, but I work for a major telecommunications company and when we offer self install kits, etc. we waive all install/upgrade fees
