Somehow I am starting to get interested in running Boinc on all my machines again... as a test to how well Apple has fixed up the Rev A issues I'd like to run F@H 24/7 on it...   :D

Start compressing my DVD's and enjoy the time saved from doing it on my G4 :D

Hoping to get a Merom BMB though:p

I'm not going to get one but I am going to keep a running tally of the amount of threads the next update is going to generate :D

MacBook too new??

I just recieved my MB 2.0 and of course they are not announcing the speed bump. My question is to return in or is it worth all the trouble just for the .3% increase.

It is really your call, have you opened the box yet?

Tsk! Underwhelming!

I am starting to wonder how Boinc would fair on the current shipping MBPs even, it seems to max out both core on my Mini with ease, and the great thing is it doesn't steal cycles from my active apps so I can still use my machine unhindered.

Nah, 10 % measurable increase. Of course you wouldn't be able to tell the difference while using it.

Read email 1000 times faster than this 867 powerbook :D

(Actually I need one for running Ableton Live 6, when it comes out, and having a little processor headroom while gigging)

Bitch here on MR about how much it sucks. :D

Me too Me too!
My thread will probably be called "Seriously disappointed with MBP!!1!11!" and it'll be complaining about how I get beach balls when I'm working with a large photoshop file while ripping a DVD and watching youtube and working in flash. And only with 512mb of ram.

Man that thread is gonna be sweet! I bet Generik will insult me too! :p

/sarcasm

Put big scratches in it, pry out some keys out, rub bacon grease on the screen, rub dirt on the battery contacts, crack the screen, drop it a few times (this is all by accident)

Last but not least I'll put it in it's $230 computer bag to keep it safe.
