I have an Early 2008 MBP that I'd like to upgrade the hard drive in, and I want to get the largest capacity drive I can get. The rpm doesn't matter all that much to me, but capacity does. I've been looking around and all I can find are 500GB drives, is this all the larger they get for MBPs?

also any recommendations for drives are welcome.

It depends. What year are you living in? If you're in 1995, the max you can get it probably about 1 GB. 2000, I'd say around 30 GB. If you're living in 2009, I believe the max capacity HDD is indeed 500 GB.

However, if you're in 2029, I believe they're up to 50 TB.

I do believe 500Gb is the largest 2.5HDD(the size of the one in the MBP)

But I could be mistaken, I do vaguely remember some talk of a 750GB one

They were talking about that in late 2009, we're not there yet. Unless that's when you're living.

There is a 1TB 2.5" SSD.

You may now guess its price. :eek:

Firefly2002 = pwned

A 500GB HDD is reasonably priced.

I know 500GB drives are pretty reasonable, I got a 320 2.5" external for around $75.
Does anyone have an estimated month that a 750GB 2.5" internal drive might be released?
