North of where I'd like to be
OK, we're all into shiny new things otherwise there'd be no MR.
But what's the oldest thing you own?
Mine was (I can't find it, which started me thinking about this thread) a diplomystus fish fossil that was dated from the Eocene Age (45 million years).

Hmmm.

I have my great-grandfather's Bible, from about 1890. A Georgian tea box from the late 1800s. Some Russian Kopek coins from the 1800s. I think the oldest of those is from 1812, which I thought was an interesting year.

There are rocks in my yard that are probably a few billion years old.

Yes, but do you own them or simply residing on them for the time being?

If I had the time machine from the other thread I could goback in time and easily beat the original poster's item...where is that flux capacitor???? :)

This one made me think, some. Guess it would be our king size waterbed and my library which have been in four different countries where we've lived.

I think I have a pair of shoes about 5 years old.

Edit: Our house is older, Its six years old.

I have a collection of coins stored away from the early 1800s, but I'm sure we must have something a little older than that.
