So I was going to buy an iPhone 4 from verizon and after my rebate it would cost $200. That's the same price it has always been since launch. Will the iPhone 5 be $200 after rebate/contract renewal? Any help would be great!

It might be $249.99 with contract this year with the larger screen but we'll still pay it. Low chance of that happening, though.

Good grief -- how many threads does it take to know that the press conference isn't going to be held until Oct 4th. You will find out then!

Droid Bionic selling for $299 worries me that they are trying to start a trend but with the success brought by the current $199/$299 pricing model I don't see them changing for a while.

it should be free especially with the way cellphone companies rape you with monthly rates

that said itll prolly go up to 250

With the competition I think it'll stay at $199. Further, Apple traditionally sticks with the "new product with better specs for the same price" theory.

If you feel so strongly, go and get a pre-paid.

I hope that the price of the phone is the same but:
