How fast did it take to you to get your MBP. I read in older post that its taking 3 weeks or so. I just ordered two and they said as soon it got into the states they would over night it. How true do you think that is?

My 17" unibody MBP shipped the same night I ordered it. This was on February 19th, stock configuration.

Just ordered a 17" MBP - base model, no BTO - gonna upgrade the HD to SSD. Ordered it yesterday (Tuesday, Mar 31) and it will be here on Friday, April 3.

First time poster, btw. Been reading Mac Rumors and it's forums for a long time though. Great forum!

From the stock 2.66 and 5400 rpm drive (vicious shadow)

so while he was waiting for his order he went back in and upgraded his option? how does this make sense? he cant mean he soldered his own processing chip onto the logic board. so how did he upgrade the processor?

i hope im not having another dyslexic moment.

UPDATE: Mine actually arrived today! So - ordered it on Tuesday and showed up on Thursday. Not bad - Ordered, China to Kansas in 2 days.

I'm actually pretty surprised with the processing time.

Ordered my Macbook Pro 15" Monday at 8 PM, it is an CTO (custom built), because I upgraded the HDD to 7200 RPM.

It was shipped at Wednesday, and I received it today (Friday) at 10 AM.

So,
Ordered: Monday 30. March at 8 PM
Received: Friday 3. April at 10 AM
= less than 5 days!

Fantastic! And hey, I live in Denmark - it was shipped from China. It's crazy.

So I'm overall happy with the delivery - the worst thing is that I'm not home right now, so I have to wait two hours until I get home and unpack my brand new MBP.

He said it took 5 days when he chose the option from the online apple store to upgrade his processor. When typical BTO time is 2 weeks.

I ordered my 15-inch unibody on Sunday evening (BTO) and it's scheduled to arrive on Monday. I've been watching the tracking site like a hawk and it's incredibly aggravating. I'm an unfortunately impatient person and I find it endlessly annoying that the package has been sitting in Mississauga (a ~90 minute plane ride from my town) for more than a day now, after already spending an extra day in Shanghai, because it missed a FedEx cutoff time.

My annoyances aside, however, it's still pretty fast. I know that when I ordered my current MBP, it took around ten days for it to leave Shanghai.
