So I know there's web apps for SMS Texting, like TxtDrop.com, but is anyone working on a native app for the iPod touch, one that uses WiFi? Is it possible to do a clone of safari, set TxtDrop to the homepage, and set it to the iPhone SMS icon? I'd love an app like this just for the green SMS icon and the convenience of it...

Nice!!

That would be awesome, bright idea there mate. Wish someone would take up the task, Donations available:eek:

I'm going off topic here, but txtdrop is the bomb! lol. My parents recently removed texting from my phone plan and this completely negates that. Thanks for the link.

thought i would make it just in case anyone else wanted it

Mine does this to... any idea as to why? Do we need to chmod or something? I just get that screen and it hangs???

Thanx a million

Thanx a million for the Apps, its highly appreciated. And for the link too......
Now its easier to do this, good start:D

Just tried it with my Virgin Mobile (CDMA) phone, and you're right, it doesn't work. Tried a few different services I found on Google, and the only one able to do it without manually specifying the provider:

Unfortunately, they add a fair bit of self-advertising junk to the message.
