Yup for normal users this is not important.

lol. Umm..

I'm pretty sure even "mom" taking pics of her kid on the soccer field will want that photo to be as high quality as possible, especially if she's having to zoom in to get the shot (like watching a kid way out there on a field in the distance)

What's the use of the telephoto lens in the iPhone 11 Pro that the iPhone 11 doesn't have?

I think it blurs the background and sharpens the object closer to the camera. I guess telephoto lens was in iPhone 7 Plus & i really like it. Plz don't correct me if I am wrong.

But they do know the difference between a good photo and a potato.

Yeah that's true, when you take a good photo of potato with telephoto lens, potato appears more sharper with blurred background. Whereas with ultra wide camera the potato will look 2 times far away from you.

From 7/8 plus to the 11 you will loose the ability in optical 2x zoom so your digitally zoomed in photos from the 11 will be more blurry/grainy so it seems a downgrade to me.

Not worth the price premium over the 11 that I'm ordering but I also have a Panasonic GH5 for when I need that "Pro" quality shot with plenty of zoom.

iPhone camera is definitely great for what it is though.

To me it’s just useless when you can do it by zooming it in.

taking a digitally zoomed photo is worthless, unless maybe you happen to see a UFO in the sky. Other than that, digital zoom degrades picture quality terribly. 2X optical zoom is incredible, you can take closeups in excellent quality!

I’ve been playing with my Pro Max 11’s camera and learning it.

^ it takes excellent pictures!
