What's not to like about the iphone 6?
In lay person terms:
1) More screen real estate - no more having to squint or reach for your ipad when content starts to seem a bit small. Remember, the original iphone was huge compared to the phones that existed at the time and we somehow coped and eventually adjusted.
2) 128 gig capacity - no more having to manage your space, at least for the next couple of years until a further upgrade in capacity is required.
These first two points alone have won me over, but wait, there's more.
3) Better all round photo and video capabilities.
4) Quicker downloads, more powerful, etc.
5) NFC.
6) IOS improvements including a more intelligent Siri, widgets in the notification centre and the freedom to choose alternative keyboards.
7) Retina HD display.
8) Capabilities for developers to make better apps.
The jury is still out on battery life and no smartphone is perfect, but come on, the iphone 6 and 6 Plus models are beasts. Whether the RAM remains a gig or is bumped up, as long as the phone is more than capable, it's just a number on the spec sheet.
Clearly, judging by the amount of negative threads with respect to 'oversize' that the 6 series have generated, they are not everyones' cup of tea. I guess those that are not sold will have to try before they buy but give these devices a chance, you may be pleasantly surprised.
As for me, the iphone 6 Plus has sold me. Being a current 4s user and never having owned a 5/5s, I can't wait to get the 6 Plus 128g model.
I have 4 more items on my 'dream on' wish list that I would love to see come to iphone some day in the future, which are:
1) Real split screen multitasking (there's talk of that coming to future ipads, so why not future plus models).
2) a battery which can go all day even with heavy use.
3) Saphire screen for that peace of mind.
4) Boom speakers ala the HTC.
If these come to future plus models, then I will be really happy as far as smartphones are concerned. But right now, I'm happy.
