Okay, I've had my macbook for several months now, and I love the whole Mac experience, but lately my macbook has had a ton of issues...

Mainly the applications freeze up or I can't quit out of them, even with force quit. Occasionally they will even refuse to open. (Very frustrating when you have a ton of homework to do) Safari does this A LOT.

A mesage pops up every five seconds in Safari asking me for a login password which I have no knowledge of ever creating.

The OS will shut down randomly if my Macbook is sleeping.

And that's it. Okay, not exactly a ton, I know, but still angering all the same.

Any suggestions? I'm worried I'm going to have to get a bigger hard drive (I have the very basic model), but those cost a lot. =[
