What's up with Safari bookmark pane not auto-closing?

This is so anti-productive. On my iPad Mini Retina browsing is a bit laggy as well. I wish Apple would stop releasing beta products. This is disappointing.

This literally drives me crazy! I also have a frequent work web page I visit that I have to hit "auto fill passcode" now to fill in my info. Because of that and the bookmarks not closing it is now a 5 click process to access this page.

Agree, this is annoying as hell. I get the feeling they're trying to make it act like the show bookmarks option you get on the desktop OS, but in my opinion it doesn't work. It should just auto close.

Although saying that I like most of the additional tweaks they made to Safari on the iPad, it seems more fully functioned.
