What's up with the new Keynote Remote icon?

It looks so incredibly cheesy and rushed. What happened to the beautifulness of the iPhone icon look? It's just the standard Keynote icon shrunk and shoved into a black square. Yuck!

This is Apple's worst iPhone icon ever!

The only problem I have with the stocks icon is that the bar is running the wrong way. It should be going down.

The new version of Keynote has a feature that lets you use your iphone (and touch?) as a remote for your presentations.

Pretty nifty if you ask me.

It's an update for the remote that is going to give it more functionality when paired with a Mac in terms of presentations. At least that is the impression I got from Gizmodo pictures. It's basically 2.0 of the remote, if that makes sense, and it was announced today at MacWorld.

Ah good eye. I guess I kind of misunderstood it. I thought it was an update for the regular remote, but now I see its a specific app for keynotes.

Calling it Remote would be kind of annoying.

Anyway, anyone give it a try? StageHand already had theirs out for a long time, but it was super slow...how does this one compare?

Is it just me or is there no download link on that page? All I see is an unlabeled text entry field (in Firefox on Windows).
