What's with the reputation rating?

I've noticed this under people's avatars.....what does it mean? Do I have to be a 6502? (By the way, 24 posts to 6502! )

There's already a thread about it in the forum feedback forum

I don't know what they're about either-- I let my demi membership lapse about a week ago and I still have one.
(It was either paying for a few books for class or giving MacRumors money... College won out. )

At first I thought that someone had edited the reputation thing into their avatar, but since it appears to be popping up everywhere uninvited (although not necissarily unwelcome) it seems to be a new feature.


And yes, there is another thread on this already. Do I feel a merger coming on?

I feel it being closed. If that's the case, then this is my second closed thread in a week. I'm bad!
