I bought a Shuffle (Second Generation) on Tuesday. On about every hundred songs, it goes mute, as if there were a long track of nothing. Also, sometimes the song would come out choppy, like it would play for a second, stop, play for another, and stop. What can I do to fix it?

hmmm very strange. I would restore it to its factory setting in iTunes and start from scratch again. That's usually the first step. Try that and see what happens....hopefully it will miraculously solve your problem. If not, give applecare a call.

If I drive a big speaker with the volume up too high, mine will do this. Never does it with headphones, just some larger, passive computer speakers Iuse in art class. <-yeah, I have a cool art teacher. :)
