I purchased a 2016- 13" non touch bar MBP, but I'm sending it back as it's only getting around 7-8 hours battery life just surfing the web, Numbers spreadsheets, and watching short video's on Facebook and Youtube.

I'm thinking the 2015 13" may have much better Battery life; however, I'm reading some guys have seen their battery life decrease when they upgraded to Sierra 10.12.1.

Other than the overall screen, size, weight and processor, I believe the rest is the same

I really like the 2016-13", it's so light, the screen is awesome, and the key pad is good. I thought I'd hate the larger trackpad, but Apple got that right too.

As for price, there really isn't much of a difference, the cost through the Apple EPP or EDU program is:
2016-13" nTB, 2.0/16/512= $1,809
2012-13", 2.7/16/512= $1,739

So, before I send this 2016 back, I'd like to know what kind of battery life you are getting on your 2015- 13" MBP running the latest 10.12.1

If there isn't a significant difference, I might as well keep the 2016!!

Thank you

I use my rMBP for software development in Xcode and I can get 6-7 hours on a single charge when doing that workflow. However, I did try to replicate Apple's website browsing test and I got 8:30 mins. Note, however, that my machine is one year old.
