What's your best privacy & security tips for macOS?

I'm curious if anyone here has any great privacy and security tips for macOS beyond the general "use FileVault" or "turn on the firewall" tips you see in generic articles online.

Anyone have any out of the ordinary tips?

Install Duckduckgo's Privacy essentials in your safari. This way you won't have to use an app like Adguard anymore to block trackers.
