www.mbp12.com got me thinking...

And I know there are better specs available but I'm trying to be realistic. I would drop 2K on this easily. Although it would probably cost over 3k.

I changed the color and size real quick in photshop. And the keyboard is from the apple site.

geez, I'm not up to date on my abbreviations! I also, never really understood FTW, for the win, but that is for a different thread...

Then, my dream mac would be a macbook air pro,

15" LED screen,
1400x900
4GB RAM
Intel Nehalem processor
250GB SSD
Blu-Ray Drive
0.76" thick
3.75lbs
Nvidia 9600m (when it comes out) w/512mb
since i only have an SD memory card, i would only need an SD memory card reader
more than 2 usb ports...

Have my dream machine for a month or so now.

I currently own my dream mac, (see the sig). Just need 2 more 1tb drives for it.
as well as my dream car.
2006 Mustang Gt with a Cervini's Front end & sidepipes, putting out 380hp.

Aw gee. I'd have to go with either:

PowerBook Pismo 2.6GHz
2Gb RAM
100GB HD
Wireless N
FW, USB
6 hour battery
1.25" thick
14" 1400x1050 LCD

Or,

Blackbook 2.4GHz
4GB RAM
200GB HD
Wireless N
FW, USB, card reader
7 hour battery
1" thick
13" 1400x1050 LCD

Or,

iMac G4 case, 2.8GHz C2E iMac inside
4GB RAM
1TB HD
Wireless N
FW, USB, SD reader
30 min battery
20" 1680x1050 LCD

Do you guys think I'm odd?

The one sitting on my desk that I'm typing this on.

I would love a 15" MacBook Pro to compliment it though.

Like many others, it'd be the Mac Enthusiast, or Mac Semi-Pro.

smaller tower. Maybe the 3Ghz "Yorkfield" C2D processor 2x6MB L2-cache, 1.33Ghz FSB, 2 internal HD bays, 2 PCI slots, blah blah blah.

My dream Mac ATM? That would be one that dispenses a pile of cash into my clutching fists regardless of the (little) amount of money that I have in my account...

(Sorry... :eek: )

If money was no option, I would get a Mac Pro to use as my main system.

Specs below:

* Two 3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (8-core)
* 32GB (8 x 4GB)
* Mac Pro RAID Card
* 1TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
* 1TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
* 1TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
* NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB (Stereo 3D, two dual-link DVI)
* Apple Cinema HD Display (30" flat panel)
* Apple Cinema HD Display (30" flat panel)
* Two 16x SuperDrives

@ OP, is that 12" MBP thing real? (edit: I mean... is there actually any substance for speculation that a 12" MBP is due in the future?)

But anyway, if you want a BlackBook Pro now in 15 or 17 look at www.colorwarepc.com :)

No, there are a just a lot of loyal powerbook users that want one. I have no reason to believe that it will actually come to be... especially since Apple has been really cheap about using MacBook Parts for the Air... the Air should have been a 12" machine.. Footprint is more important than thickness and Apple should know that.

But I can dream can't I? I would even settle for them just making the MacBook come in 12" and have the AIR be the only 13.3 inch.

As
Far
As
I
Know

just to clear up confusion.
Thank you! I had been trying to figure that one out haha. :rolleyes:

My dream Mac would probably the newest Macbook Pro (the most expensive one) with maxed out RAM.

But I can't afford it. So I am probably just going to buy the cheapest Macbook or the one in the middle. :p I only need like $735 more haha wow >_<

I'd like a Mac mini with these specs:

2.6 GHz Penryn processor
750 GB HDD
5 GB RAM
2 FW 800 ports
4 USB 2.1 ports
Floppy disk drive (No, seriously, put it in the bottom left corner)

All for $399 :cool:

Oh, and it must, absolutely must come in
black.:)

Ah, I can dream....

I love the iMac. I would love a 30" one that's a tad skinnier and got rid of the lower part of the machine. Also, they should include slots for SD cards and such, and more USB ports, oh and ambient lighting in the back, OMG and they should include light-up indicators on the black part of the glass (I will do a mock-up and edit this post later) that are touch sensitive as well.

The things I would do if I was in charge of design at Apple....

.... hehehe ;)

* I know I just posted my dream Mac above, but the thread title says "ATM" so, at this particular moment, this is my dream mac.:cool:

iBook G4 (Yes, I said G4)
2.0 GHz
2 GB RAM
250 GB HDD
Combo Drive (I do not need a Superdrive, don't give me one.)

Essentially, the specs of a MacBook inside an iBook G4 case.

A MacBook Air with 256GB SSD, 2.6GHz, and a 10 hour (real world) battery life. All for 1999.
