I wonder what does “Adaptive Power actually achieves? Tried enabling it on and off both for quite some time, but seems the average consumption is the same.

The bad thing is, all apps seems to get “killed” in the background much sooner, the good thing is it doesn’t limit AOD and 120hz.

What are your experience on this new feature/toggle?

Unless apps are optimized for the new adaptive power scheme, I seriously doubt there’s any noticeable improvement in battery life — especially with the added drain from a buggy beta iOS.

Do you think apps should be optimized?
I thought it was only a setting at the os level.

Could just be beta shenanigans but having this turned on, my iPhone performance goes to hell the closer I get to 0% battery.

I wake up in the morning with a fresh 100% charge and my iPhone is almost as smooth as 18.5/6 (almost = rare stutters when swiping through home pages etc). In the evening, when my charge is around 30% or less, everything turns to stutter-haven, keyboard starts to occasionally lag, opening apps or swiping is noticeable low hz etc.

Could be unrelated and generally beta related, it‘s too consistent at low charge though imp (maybe I should turn it off to verify?).

I think so, at least there won't be fighting for CPU clocks which the back-and-forth could result in extra battery drain. Just my two cents.

I noticed my phone felt like it was running slowly for no reason then I turned APM off and it was fine. No idea what it was doing exactly and I seemed to have plenty of battery life. For now its staying off but generally I like the concept.

Now that iOS 26 is in mass release; what is your experience with Adaptive Power mode - is it helping battery life?

I usually run with low power mode, but I am giving Adaptive Power mode a shot starting today.

I turned it on but my air got down to 20% this afternoon and it just popped up the usual warning if i want to turn on low power mode. I thought it’d do it automatically?

I guess it’ll need some time to learn behaviours - much like charging scheduling. Maybe a mix of ‘they’ll be using safari a lot so when that happens I’ll switch to 60Hz or throttle background tasks’ or will it actively reduce usage during the day to get to Xpm with Y% charge?
