Hey guys, I’ve seen that the last few years att has given pervious gen customers the opportunity to trade in their phones for the newest iPhone when they come out and I’ve been wondering what’s been peoples experiences with it. Like how was the process sending in your old phone, how the credits work out and any headaches you may have had to deal with. Thanks

Yep, years back, I left Verizon and signed up with ATT due to their incentives. Boy what a mistake that was, and I was stuck with them 2 years. First chance I got, I left, I hated dealing with them.
Then they have all of these hidden fees as well.

Have to read the fine print in the “next up” program, it limits the credit to $500. The store manager promised a $1000 credit (free phone) but when my bill came it was only a $500 credit.. customer service was unable/refused to fix the problem due to the fine print. Imagine charging a monthly fee to be able to upgrade, then getting a worse deal than someone who paid nothing.. get every thing in writing before leaving the store!!

Just throwing it out there, I never had an issue with ATT with trade-ins (i did an $800 trade in multiple times with my lines) or customer service. I have read stories with trade in issues, but like everything nothing is perfect 100% of the time.

Did you actually think you were going to get a $1000 credit without waiting 2 years, and paying for post paid service for that long.

Yes it is obvious that everyone should read the "Fine Print", it is there for a reason.

ATT $1000 credit is the best deal for an iPhone. Been doing it for years and never had a problem.
I don’t know how the new Next Up Anytime is working out for people but it looked enticing. Anyone have any experience with that?
