You've all heard them, or perhaps seen them printed on t-shirts worn by the geeky masses. They ARE the geeky catch phrases, including such witty one-liners as

got root?
runs with scissors
There's no place like 127.0.0.1
No, I will not fix your computer
My other car is a cdr -- an old obscure scheme programming joke

So, what's the one that keeps you laughing (or smiling) each time you see it or think about it?

I personally like "There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't."

Never seen anyone wearing one but this was on The Simpsons (something like this anyway):

C:\Dos
C:\Dos\Run
Run\Dos\Run

Made me chuckle.

I'm known to say "OMGWTF, dude", "no patch for human stupidity", and I refer to people as Froods sometimes :D

my favorite shirt at the moment is an all black tee with large white letters...

RTFM

wear it on user support gigs, and the users have no idea what it means. makes me laugh on the inside. ok, and on the outside.

My wife used to have the same joke attached to her emails...Worst. Joke. Ever. I really don't think I have a geeky catch-phrase that I use. I just obsess about my computer. I think I'm slowly becoming the "our sys admin isn't here today! who do we get to fix our issues?" guy. I guess "I love my Mac." is my geeky catch phrase.

EDIT - I just noticed who the OP is. I'm in trouble tonight...

I own both of those T-shirts, so they must be my favorites. But it's always fun to run into new ones.

I never ran into the "My other car is a cdr" one before. I've actually written LISP programs so I'd love to have that one too.

I also want a "Nick Burns: Your Company Computer Guy" T-shirt with some sneery remark. Maybe "MOVE!" or "Oh, by the way.... YOU'RE WELCOME."

I didn't until I finished my post and submitted it and saw her name in bold.I figured it was better to acknowledge the mistake and move on, rather than pretend I didn't see it - hopefully she doesn't check this...

Are you a hoopy frood yourself? :p I didn't know this made me a geek

I like the binary quote too - although part of me would like it even more if it just said 'those who understand this and those who don't' since mentioning binary in it is just too much of a clue!

Can we make up new ones?

How 'bout
I don't need thumbs to count on my fingers.
for those of us who speak (and sometimes think in) octal?

As a WoW junkie, I'm a big fan of:

"Your biological and technological diversity will be adapted to service the collective."

or "Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own."

or "We are the Borg, you will be assimilated. Resistance is futile."

Not really geeky in a computer way, but definitely in a Star Trek way.

That would make it better! Ha ha ha.... :D

does referring to things as "leet" irl count?
i'm wearing a newegg shirt right now, which i guess is sort of geeky.
i certainly consider myself a geek, as do others, but i don't really do anything stereotypically "geeky" that much.

Perhaps the homestar runner shirts should be considered as ones with geeky catch phrases, too....
