So what's your favorite kind of music? I like everything (except country) but at heart I am very much a House/Trance/Hardstyle lover/raver/etc.

(Note: These are general genres. If you like "alternative rock" or some kind of sub-rock genre, choose Rock and list it in your post.)

Also forgive me if I forgot one.

I can't really say. I suppose "rock" but not in the contemporary sense. New Order, Inspiral Carpets. Stuff like that. Certainly not this new 'poppy' stuff like Greenday and co. I don't mind the odd Greenday song (ok... Holiday) but all this Californian moaner pop is just irritating me.

I like a bit of old skool hip hop, classical (though NOT played on Carolines mum car stereo, the Planets on LOOP for an 8 hour car ride *sobs*). Jazz is very nice. No country at all. Trance and Dance and that, yes, a little. Scooter and uber-cheese stuff, and all those hardcore Turrican remixes. Can't fault it really.
So I'm not voting :) too broad. I think!

Trust me I hate these too because I love so many kinds of music ALOT and it's hard to choose just one.

I'll go with Dance seeing the most played song on my iTunes is a Cave Story remix track. :) Just so peaceful, I completely remade by website in Wordpress with this song on loop.

I am a Raver/Rocker at heart. I would say im more of a Rocker due to my early love for it. Umm...I can not stand Country and to a lesser degree hip hop/rap type music. I swear, if they would just shut up, i would like the music.

I like rock music, but sometimes classical music is good to relax and focus.

hard to pick a favorite.

Yeah I'll go with that too. Can't stand CW. Although there was a band in Sydney I heard once called 'Country Thang' I think, that was quite good.

It totally depends on mood.

If I'm Jack the Ripping then it has to be Zappa, Hayden's string quartets, or Indian Classical.

Out of that list I'd have to say Rock.

But I like pretty much all kinds of music.
With the exception of sh*t dance music, R 'n' B, modern "soul" and chart music.

Well I picked hip hop, but I really don't like any rap nowadays, so it's funny how I picked hip hop/rap. I mean, that hip hop-ish beat is generally what I respond to best, so it can be things like Handsome Boy Modelling School's "Greatest Mistake (with John Oates and Jamie Cullum)"; The Rapture's "Killing", which is really like "dance-rock"; or I guess more mainstream than The Rapture would be something like DJ Shadow "Fixed Income." Then I like some generally random mainstream stuff as well, but the most popular stuff is just crap.

I like REAL punk, industrial, rock, old school country/swamp rock, old school big band (swing), oldies, blues, real jazz (not that Kenny G crap), some rap like RJD2, WuTang, Pharcyde. I like real music that's true to its roots and not dictated by MTV.

Afro-Latin-Funk is my favorite right now, but I also like stuff like Thievery Corp., Brazilian Girls, Tosca. Don't know what catagory these fall into.
