Your insurance (auto) carrier doesn't offer roadside? Also, I wonder if AAA is cheaper.

And you get 1500 texts WITH your $30 plan? I pay $50 alone for data and texts (unlimited).
My plan:
Pretty sure I'm being bent over. That's all I have to say.

O2 35

600 mins

500 texts

Unlimited Internet

Iphone 3g free (due to upgrade of old contract had some leverage on them...)

All for £35.00 a month on an 18month contract

Well I have a 1st gen iPhone too. I stuck my SIM in that one, added the $20 + $10 for 1500 text plan and then put it back in my 3G. I get a text at the beginning of each billing cycle saying I'm using the wrong data plan but that's the extent of AT&T's effort.

I feel a little less bent over now.
Mine is a legit 3G plan and it shows on my bill each month. :D

O2 30

75 mins (+20 mins treats, though this runs out soon)

125 texts

Unlimited 3G internet plus fairly useless wi-fi

16GB iPhone cost £159

Was £30 per month on an 18 month contract, now £29.37 with new VAT rate.

Unless you are getting 7PM nights free (most of the time ATT charges $16.99 for 7pm familyplan). I would suggest you save yourself $16.99 and delete the early 7pm add-on.

You have way too many rollover minutes (9150 minutes). Just cancel the 7pm, save yourself some money, and when your rollover minutes get low, re-add the 7pm option.

T-Mobile Netherlands:

300 Minutes (incoming calls are free)
300 SMS (incoming SMS are free)
unlimited data
unlimited access to T-Mobile hotspots in the Netherlands

for 45 € (~63 US-$)

Orange Switzerland

3G 16 GB phone CHF249,- inc sim

CHF 44 per mth gives 1GB surf, 50 SMS, 30 minutes talk, 1000minutes Orange wireless hotspots worldwide and 3 favourite numbers for free calls to either or 3 landlines or other Orange mobile.

Would be great if they could remember having transferred my numbers from my old phone to my iPhone. Looks like this month will see a CHF20 refund again.

Oh and Swisscom give me internet access and I get 60mins per month use of their wireless hotspots too.

Optus (SingTel) Australia:

AUD$39/month, 500MB data. Paid $220 upfront. We don't do minutes in Australia-land, but it's probably about 100 minutes based on the rates /minute. Joined as part of 'fleet' thing with Optus, means you can call anyone in the 'fleet' for free (family mostly).

From what I heard, SingTel took a bit of a hit to their profits from that cheap plans they offered with the iPhone (I can't complain though :D).

Carrier: 02 (UK)
Phone: iPhone 3G (8gb)
Monthly Bill: £24.50 (was £35, 30% discount).
Contract duration: 18 months starting Jan 09

my current plan which i use on an att fuze

1000 anytime minutes with unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited mobile to mobile and rollover $39

media max 200 plan with unlimited internet, ( I tether with it also) and 200 text messages for $19

with my corp discount my bill runs lke 63 bux

my data plan will have to change to the iphone plan for $30 and I think $5 for 200 texts so my bill will go up like $15

I get to keep my minute plan

$59.49 1,100 minute family plan, unlimited nights & weekends, free mobile to mobile, rollover minutes, etc. (that's discounted about $10.50 due to FAN)
$9.99 third line
$9.99 fourth line
$9.99 fifth line
$30.00 Unlimited texting for all 5 lines
$30.00 iPhone data plan for my line

Works out to $24/month per line for voice & unlimited texting plus the $30 data on one line. Seems fair to me.

Oh yeah, and throw in the usual truckload of taxes on top of that.

Hm, i think norway is expensive, im going to buy the new iPhone 3G S, next month, when its comes to norway, but i got abit problem with choosing what plan:/

1. Netcom iConnect Unlimited Data Plan, $55/month
and then you have to pay for what you call and sms text.

2. Netcom iTalk Small with 100 mins call time, 100 sms, and 500 mb/month the price is: $63/month

I think i will buy iConnect since im going to use the data most, i dont call/sms so much, but i dont know how long 500 mb/month will last, any shouts?

Edit: Both are 12 month Contract.

^^ Check out Chess iTouch...

Norway:

* 1 year contract expiring July 10th... with the 3GS coming July 9th... :D
* Netcom iTalk mini: 100 minutes, 100 SMSs, 500 MB data per month
* NOK 399,- per month (≈ USD 63 ≈ CAD 70 ≈ € 45 ≈ £ 38 with today's exchange rates).

When the contract expires I'm free to get another subsidised iPhone from either of the three carriers who offers (so far) or - legally - unlock it and (sell it or) get a plan from another carrier, like OneCall who has a plan that - with my current use - would reduce my bill to at least 1/3 (possibly even down to 1/6) of what I spend today.

I have a EDGE right now, but for my 3GS it'll be:

700Minutes (I have no idea how much it is)-
200 Text for 3GS- $5
200 Text for Brother's line- $5

Data plan for 3GS- $30
Data plan for brother's line- $30
Additional line (Mom)- $10
Additional line (dad)- $10

Is the 700 minutes around $50, because we pay around $157 every billing period....hmm?

EDIT: Forgot, the $157 is on the $20 iPhone plan that includes 200 texts, so the 700 minutes is around $65?

EDIT2: Crap, didn't add in my brother's line- $10
and then, I checked the 700 minutes, and it says $60. So yeah.

But...that equals $160 before taxes...we pay $157 after taxes. Oh yeah. Fan discount :)

2,100 Shared Anytime minutes- $110
2 iPhone plans- $60
2 Additional lines- $20
Unlimited Family text- $30
Insurance on 2 phones - $12

Total- $232 plus tax

Mine's pretty good:

450 anytime w/ 5000 N&W 49.99
200 Bonus minutes (used before anytime) 0.00
1500 text messages 8.99
Unlimited Data $30.00
22% discount through work

Ends up being 69 and some change AFTER taxes.
