It is worth noting that this is my 3rd iphone 4 replacement.. the other 2 were different models and had battery and overheating issues.

You would be guessing incorrect.

Mines a 16GB model.

And some friends with 32GB have diff. serials from each other, as all 6 of my phones have some differences... only 3 are the same, other 3 are different.

Same situation as above. Exchanged my phone 2X on launch day so this is my 3rd phone, model MC318LL, and so far issue free.

Any chance reception issues can be traced to model numbers??
