On my 5, I used to have it just below 50%. Maybe around 35-40% cause the battery sucked.
With the 6, I have it at 50-55% brightness cause the battery is better.
Auto-brightness off of course.
Am I being too cautious?
What's your Screen Brightness on your 6?

I have mine just a tiny bit lower than yours on my 6+. It does seem a shame for me to have it that low, lol maybe I'll crank it up to 60% or higher and see what it does to my battery. Lol

This is about where I always keep my iPhone, and it seems pretty bright to me. Matter of fact, I had to check the other day that I hadn't inadvertently turned it up, because it seemed so bright.

Your 6+ should do better than my 6 at 60% brightness.
Keep us updated please.

For what it's worth...

On my 6+, I turn my Brightness all the way up and turn on Auto Brightness.

Not sure if it's the new hardware or iOS8 but Auto Brightness works flawlessly on my 6+.

AND battery life is GREAT!!!

I just keep the default settings (auto). I typically go 3-4 days between charges.

100% about 80-90% of the day. 1% when I'm about to crash out in bed. I work outside and can't see the display unless it's up all the way.

I have mine set to the middle, with auto brightness enabled. I've done so since I started owning an iPhone, and it's worked very well for me.

I thought auto brightness wasn't that great?
How does your battery last?

I'm getting 6-7 hours of screen on time at 80% brightness.

If people could include their screen on time along with their brightness it would be appreciated.

I guess some people are picky about their screen brightness. But it's always worked very well for me going from indoors to outdoors, dimly lit to brightly lit rooms, et cetera. So it may be a matter of personal preference. The only time I ever remember having to manually adjust the brightness is if I'm using my phone in the dark, and it doesn't go all the way down.

I've never turned off auto brightness, so I can't compare it to anything. But with my 6 Plus, I'm routinely getting over ten hours of usage every day, and that's on par with what the average user seems to be getting.

On my 6 plus, and other iphones for that matter, have all been set on auto brightness.

Auto, occasionally gets stuck at low bright. But it works most of the time.

Auto brightness. Ive got better things to do than worry about this. Im sure apple feels the same on their personal iPhones.
