WhatsApp - iOS 8, iCloud Backup Disabled

Noticed this today after the latest update to WhatsApp.

Any ideas on why this is?

Maybe for the migration from iCloud documents -> iCloud drive.

I think they will fix this soon after the official release of iOs8

Similarly 1Password sync via iCloud is broken for iOS8. I don't use that feature, but it was noted in the release notes for their beta.

They aren't the only ones, it's going to take a bit for devs to get fixes seeing as how iCloud was overhauled.

Strangely, Cyclemeter is working correctly with iCloud on iOS 8. So this only affects some apps.

Hi all, this seems like quite a big deal if you use WhatsApp a lot - I just upgraded to iOS8 on my iPhone 5 and can no longer backup my WhatsApp chats/conversations - any ideas on how I can bring across my conversations and groups that I'm in when I get my iPhone 6 on Friday?..

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
