whatsapp issue with gevey sim, unable to connect

hi,
im using iphone4 with 4.1 (gevey sim + jailbroken) and i cant seem to connect to whatsapp.
after installation, it asks for my phone number and and tries to connecting to the server. after 1 min, it gives an error saying "Could not connect to whatsapp service. Please try again later"

is there an issue connecting to whatsapp using gevey sim? is there any workaround

sometimes their servers have issues, could be that or could be what your thinking

whatsapp works perfectly well on my other iphone2, both on wifi and edge. im thinking its an issue with gevey sim ?
