I am on ios 9.0.2 and jailbroken and after switching phones and putting my sim card back on my iphone 6 plus, whatsapp refuses to verify my number and send me the code. It says it can't do it and that I have to wait for 12 hours to re-request a new code, then I wait for 12 hours and now it says that I have to wait for another 24 hours.
I found on the web that Whatsapp is doing this "joke" to all jailbroken iphones... Is this right? And if it is, is there a way to bypass this and use whatsapp on jailbroken iphones?

It doesn't work neither calling nor sending me a code. It keeps saying me I have to wait for more hours to try again.

have you uninstalled? Maybe restore from a prev backup? It would never send me the code so in the countdown that says call me in, it called.

Yes, I tried uninstalling and then rebooting and again the same, it doesn't call me or text me.

The thing is that on the same whatsapp website, on the FAQ's, it says that your device doesnt have to be jailbroken in order of being able to verify your number: http://www.whatsapp.com/faq/en/iphone/20902747
  • Your phone has full Internet access with a strong signal. Try opening a web page to make sure.
  • Your phone is not roaming.
  • Your phone can receive international SMS messages.
  • You are not using an unsupported device such as an iPod Touch or iPad.
  • Your device is not jailbroken.

The problem I see I have is that I changed the sim card from my iphone 5 to my iphone 6 and even though I dont have the sim card on the 5, I still have whatsapp running with my phone number. Weird... I cant disconnect whatsapp on the 5 and run it on the 6 cause no method work, no resend code, nor call me.
