Hello, it seems that the largest single drive one could get is 5TB. Any news on when the 6 or 7TB drives will become available for consumers?
 
Both WD and Seagate have been selling 6 TB HDDs.

Seagate will put 8 TB HDDs on the market very soon.
 
You're better off going with the highest capacity that isn't *new.* You'll likely get the best prices that way and in a years time, the 6-8TB drives will be down in price as they prepare for 10TB and up. It'll just keep increasing and price will keep going down as time goes on. You know, Moore's Law and all that stuff...
