My story first ...

So I have had my iPhone for two day and am in LOVE! But yesterday I hooked it up to my computer and was getting a message saying that I needed to restore my phone because it couldn't not be synced, or something along those lines. Easy right? Just click on the iPhone under Devices and then in the Summary tap click restore, right? Wrong .. My iPhone wouldn't show up in iTunes. So I look on the apple website trying to figure out how to fix it and right there is my answer, it clearly has a whole "troubleshooting assistant" for my problem. I try everything that the assistant tells me to do and I still get the same pop-up message from iTunes and no iPhone under Devices. So I call apple technical support (the guy was terrific by the way, very nice and patient), and again he walks me step-by-step through all the processes I already did using the "troubleshooting assistant" (getting a little tedious w/ my writing now on purpose because I tried all the same things like 5 times). Anyway, after being on the phone for about an hour trying this and that and this again (three more times) he finally tells me something that I havn't seen anywhere ...

HOW TO MANUALLY RESTORE!

So when all else fails ... Turn your iPhone off and unplug it from the computer. Once off, Hold down the Home and plug it into your computer. It does something to the software on the phone and automatically brings up iTunes telling you that it is going to restore your phone!!

Hope this safes some people a few hours here and there, and like I said I didn't see this anywhere but if I accidentally reposted I apologize.
